Teleman asks on November 24, 2003, 7:33pm:
I NEED AN ANSWER!
Recently I have been leaving a magnetic field everywhere I go, Coat, chairs, silverware, etc. I dont understand it.
Peebrain replies on November 25, 2003, 12:59pm:
That's not really a question...
Umm... do you want to know how to stop it? Then shield, I would assume. Do you want to know how to control it? Then practice, I would assume .
Give me a question and I'll try to answer it the best I can.
palecricket1 asks on November 20, 2003, 2:27pm:
K i had a really weird experience a few nights ago and i was wondering first off astral projection is possible and second of all if you would feel someone's energy if their projection interacted with your own.
Rainsong replies on November 21, 2003, 7:30pm:
Yes, projection of that sort is possible. As for feeling the "energy" of another person in such an interaction, that would depend on your sensitivity. It has been done, though.
orowin asks on November 20, 2003, 7:52pm:
what are your (any of the mods) opinions on "magick":P? do you think it's totally fake, product of psionics, or something else? just wondering, because i was reading something about it on a website.
orowin
Peebrain replies on November 20, 2003, 10:47pm:
My opinion will probably differ than the other mods... but this is what I personally think...
I think that humans, upon discovering something that they can't explain, will first use religion to explain it in some cases. A popular example of this is lightning. I think psionics is unknown, and "magick" is the explanation of it using religion. Humans need a way to understand it, so they use that. Now it's becoming more popular, and science is stepping into the scene to try to understand it in a more logical way.
That's just my opinion, and hell, my opinions change all the time. It's hard to get a firm grasp on something like this . Do some research, ... what do you think?
Sirius asks on November 18, 2003, 9:47pm:
is it possible to locate a person?
i didnt know what this would go under.. would you need good tp, rv, rp or what skills?
thanks ahead of time
and could you explain please
Rainsong replies on November 19, 2003, 8:20pm:
It is possible to locate a person. Probably the most effective way to go about it is to use map-dowsing.
Founder asks on November 19, 2003, 9:22am:
The only question I have is how come normal people (if there is such a thing) never encounter any of these things, like psychic attacks, vamps, astral projections, psi balls or anything of that nature. How come you only get influenced by these things when you are made aware of them... I dont have any doubt in the paranormal but it does beg the question... is it all in our heads? And if so how can it effect our physical enviroment? I think we are all thinking the same thing....
Rainsong replies on November 19, 2003, 8:16pm:
Your question itself is valid. Some of the "supporting" assumptions are not, however.
Many of the effects are subtle enough that if committed against someone who unaware of the nature of the effect, that someone is likely to attribute it to a different cause.
Psiballs are only elementary exercises; someone unaware of them is unlikely to be trying them.
Projections can be odd, in that a person's fetch may be observed by a third party, but the person who projected may well remain unaware that s/he projected.
It is not "all in our heads". Even so, I will readily admit that some of it is....it is easy to delude oneself in this field.

digijamie asks on November 13, 2003, 6:28am:
I was wondering if there was a way that you all could find more mods and make a "training" section for those in need.....or get people on the site and ask them "What skills are you good at? Could you show us or give us a demonstration?" and then they could be trainers.....the reason is I work
better with one-on-one talking instead of reading and trying myself.......and i was rellly going to ask if someone would be my personal trainer but i think above was better
thanks in advanced:
Digijamie
Peebrain replies on November 17, 2003, 6:22pm:
Don't expect to see that anytime soon. Personal trainers in the weight-lifting world are full time jobs, and expensive. I do not pay any of the authors for their time - they are volunteering. Any students they take on is their responsibility, and I don't feel that it's fair to ask them to take on any students just because you learn better one on one. I don't think it's fair for me to ask the authors if they'd like to be paraded around like a circus demonstrating their abilities either. I think you demand too much - the information is available, just put in the time and effort to learn it yourself.
The_Seven_Mystics asks on November 17, 2003, 6:02pm:
Why don't the questions appear in order of asking? I mean, I see the numbers go up on each topic, but I usually find the same question, which was previous to the new questions, still there. Also, what influences where the question goes? Thanks,
The_Seven_Mystics
Peebrain replies on November 17, 2003, 6:17pm:
It does actually appear in the order that they were asked. The problem is that we answer them at different times, in different orders. What I mean is, say you ask a question at 5pm, and your friend asks at 6pm. If we answer the 6pm one first, that goes on top. Then we answer yours. Yours still goes under the 6pm one because you asked before your friend. Get what I'm saying?
I've gotten a few requests to make it easier to view Q&A's that haven't been read yet by the member. I'll probably make something to make things easier for you guys in the future.
soulshaker asks on November 16, 2003, 2:14pm:
Errrrr... This is weird. I have been looking in some books and on some sites.
One book defined "Prana" as "Psi Energy", and defined "Psi" as ESP and Psychokinesis, NOT the energy. Yet a site defined "Ki" and "Reiki" as "Chi" and another site defined "Chi" as "Prana" which would be defining "Ki" as "Psi"... MWRAAAAAAH! Help
I'd mention the name of the book and sites, but I borrowed the book and can't gave it back and can't remember the name, and I just plain don't remember on what sites I went. The book was something that meant 'paranormal dictionary', but it was in very different words...
Rainsong replies on November 16, 2003, 5:04pm:
Around the time that the word "psionics" was first coined (ie, middle of the 20th century), "psi" was used as a variable to denote the mechanism or mechanisms that allowed psychokinesis, telepathy, and similar effects to occur. The mechanism was pretty much unknown. Although several hypothetical models for it were proposed, none of them withstood the experimental testing. For example, "psi" has some characteristics in common with electromagnetism, but telepathy was demonstrated to occur in conditions where electromagnatism could not function (If, at some future date, psi is demonstrated to be electromagnetic after all, several "known" factoids about electromagnetism will be altered.)
Short version: if you can use it to do PK or telepathy, it is "psi".
By extension, over time, "psi" also came to be used to describe the effects themselves. (Also, in some circles, it is used to describe the people who can demonstrate such effects.)
The psi vs prana vs chi vs ki arguement gets complicated. It is largely rooted in the various theories about the nature of "energies" used in "energy work". The terms come from different cultures, and do not translate easily or directly, as a result of this simple fact.

kursh57 asks on November 11, 2003, 10:54am:
In the Media section, it had those pictures on the bottom enhanced. Would any of you mind telling me how you enhanced it? I'd like to try it with one of my pictures and one of my videos spinning the psi-wheel. I have Adobe Photoshop 7.0 so if that's what you used can you just explain what filters you used?
Peebrain replies on November 14, 2003, 2:19pm:
I believe I used PaintShop Pro and just tweaked the brightness and contrast. Nothing super-complex or anything . Just messed around with those basic things until it looked like the pics you see.
psycho_89 asks on November 6, 2003, 9:34pm:
If i could fly how far could i fly up to?
Rainsong replies on November 12, 2003, 7:51pm:
Potential altitude varies with the kind of aircraft.
If you mean self-propelled flight without mechanical assistance, the key word is the "if" in "If I could fly....". If it were possible to fly at all, your altitude would certainly be limited by available oxygen in the air.
