Psychic Holidays

So this is what my sister said to me today:

"Grandma needed an idea for a gift under $20, and I came up with the perfect idea, and I want to tell you but I don't want to ruin the surprise - but just know, when you open the gift, that the idea was mine."

So I say, "ok". About 5 minutes later, nothing good was on the radio, so I start in a conversation: "Hey, you know All-American Rejects came out with a new CD? It's pretty good."

She replies: "That was the gift!"

Some people might argue coincidence... which it could have been. It's always hard to examine one event and figure out if something psychic happened or not. A lot of the time, when you first start practicing, you start having "coincidences". But then they keep adding up. One particular event isn't that awesome, but a series of 10 coincidences starts to make you think: "What is really going on here?".

Hey Sean, same with me. Today (Dec. 8th 05) i woke up and the first thing that popped in my head when i looked at the calender was "today's someone's b-day". I just let it go. The odd thing about this is: i went to school and last period was this kid's b-day. I didn't know whether this was just coincidence or psychi, so you're sure right, it is hard to tell!

I think we all have had that same or similar experiences. Ever have that conversation and you blurt out something and that person you were talking to goes "Hey! I was just thinking that!".

I personally think it was a broadcasting experience (That happened frequently). She was probably thinking about the gift somewhat loud in her head and you picked up on it. Hehe, It happens alot in conversations. Cool post Sean :).

I'm with Joe on this one, this stuff used to happen with me a lot, more than what can be considered normal coincidence. It's always funny to say something at the same time, or broadcast without realizing it, to other people and later find out they were thinking about the same music or topic. :P

It just sucks that I can't do it intencionally. Lol.

It's all part of Jung's thoery of Synchronisity, isn't it? It shouldn't really be a theory, tho, should it. It should be a Law...
