Yo yo!

So last night I was messing with Hemi-Sync again. I started Wave 3, Track 1 - Lift Off. Well... I didn't really "lift off", but at one point my left arm did some crazy shit. It was like my left arm was a guitar string that got plucked, and it vibrated. I wasn't expecting any OBE action because I hadn't had luck with "Lift Off" in the past... so the sudden "BOOOOINGGGG!" of my left arm surprised me .

Cool stuff! I think my breakthrough with Focus 12 a little while ago played an important role.

I haven't read much of your blog yet, but I have been trying to find someone who has experience with the "gateway experience" tapes/cd's from the monroe institute. I will be very interested to know how you progress and ANY experiences or thoughts you have on them. I just bought the cd's a couple weeks ago. and have started the 2nd set.

I have a question for you....

With the 1st and 2nd tape of the Gateway Experience, I could barely keep awake. Beyond that (I am into Wave 11 Series Now), I feel VERY awake as I do them. I don't know if I am doing them correctly. I feel like I should be more sleepy or "out of it." Please let me know how "awake" you feel when listening to them. I have never meditated so I have no reference to anything.

Thanks, I appreciate your posts and help : )

When just starting out, you probably won't feel it THAT much. But once you do the Focus 10 exercise, you should be able to feel that your body is more sluggish and weighted down. It should feel like your body is asleep, while your mind is still awake. Kinda like having a heavy blanket on your body.

Thanks, I do have that sensation a bit (weighted down). When I did the power bar exercise yesterday, I was getting a little tingling in my arms. I don't think it is a gateway to having an obe, but at least it is something.?.

How many times have you listened to each tape before progressing to the next one? I don't want to rush it and have it not work. But then again, I don't know if I should be listening to the same one for 2 days or a week or longer.

How long have ou been doing the gateway tapes? I take it you have just progressed to the 3rd series?

I just go by however long it takes to accomplish the exercise. And if I'm not interested in the exercise, I skip it all together.

When I first started, I had a strict plan of doing each lesson between 2 and 3 times. But now I'm more flexible about it. If something doesn't interest me, I skip it. If it's an important step (like Focus 10, 12, etc) and would help me with OBEs, then I do it.

And I keep repeating it until I am satisfied with the results. Or until I get bored.

Basically, I have no structured system, I just go based on what feels right.
