Nice to meet you all... I'm your resident crazy, vodka-inundated gun-toting russian.... well, all except the vodka and the gun and the russian, but those wouldn't hurt. Actually I'm from what is now Ukraine, but since it was part of the soviet union when I was born, I grew up speaking russian, so that's what i'll be translating Smile

My, aren't I long-winded? I'll try to keep this short *takes intimidatingly deep breath*

So, how does the whole business work? Do we just pick up any article that catches our eye, translate it and post it, or is there some sort of priority system?

Another thing... the russian language uses the cyrillic alphabet. Does this site support those characters? Should I do transliteration? Am I too full of questions?

Don't mind me... you'll get used to it... or you'll have a nervous breakdown every time you see or hear mention of me. 3:1 odds on the latter, place your bets here Very Happy

I really must stop wandering off on tangents, fun though the sightseeing is.

AND NOW, THE PART YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR: *drumroll* I'm finished, so hi everyone and nice to be working with you

PS. Sorry about the caps, it irritates me too Wink

hey and welcome to the group:P
as far as i know you can just get an article and translate it,
if there are more translators for the same language you'd better make a note to them about which article you're about to translate, so there won't be duplicates.

Greetings Gonzo

Thankyou Smile

Good idea about the double checking with other translators... especially the french part, there seems to be a goodly amount of french articles up already.

Also a good idea about the broccoli
