I think I heard somebody say that their Xbox360 blew up, but it might have been a regular Xbox.

It was 360. The fans and other cooling stuff don't work very good. That's just microsoft trying to hard to make it more powerful than the rest. They rushed it and therefore didn't think about balancing endurance with power. The 360's gearbox is in 1st and won't run for long in one go before overheating and eventually blowing. But it definetely hasd good graphics, but only partially worth it. In fact, the ps3 has some mind boggling graphics too, maybe better than the xbox on some games.

(edit) Only time will tell whether the ps3 will overheat aswell.

my 360 has been on for about 4 days now. It is not overheating! it isnt even very hot. No lag in gameplay, no melting of anything. If an xbox blew up, they either put dinomite in it, or someone tried to kill them.
