as for me it looks funny when you meditation associate with psionics.
If a question would be :
Do the younger people meditate? it would be clear and ok.

Too much psio... associating with everyting.Dont be crazy about that. Smile

The poll does not answer the question. Therefore, I have not responded to it.

I trance, which I suppose would be close enough to passive meditation. But I only do so with the intent of OBE.

I do meditate occasionally to get rid of stress. It's not a psionic tool, but a psychological one.

Age doesn't really have anything to do with meditation. I've been doing it since I was 12 ish almost everyday. MY friend leah is 8 and meditates, and i once met a 6-7 year old who was an avid kirtain chant-er, which is full of meditation.

Do you have to? no, its nice and may help.

Your probably just putting meditation on a pedestal. It takes a while of practice to start noticing changes. Dont give up, it's really worth it.

I don't always meditate, but I consider the phase I enter when I use psi, a meditative and clear state. I don't believe your mind can constantly be clear and open. You always have to do something in order to clear your mind. I consider anything that clears your mind, meditation.

I'm 16.

Technically, for those of you who are religious, prayer and just kinda "spilling your guts" to whatever Deity you worship (if any) can be considered a form of meditation, as you go through your mind, and mentioning anything that is bearing down on your consciousness. If you pray until you run out of things to pray for, and then just sit there for a moment, you'll usually end up clearing your mind and feel very, very relaxed.

At least, that's how it works for me.

Forgive me if I'm breaking the rules with this post, but I feel this is a valuable pointer to most of the religious Psis on these forums.

I'm 15 and I meditate twice a day around 10-20 mins, and I agree to those who said that meditation is not a requirement.

In my opinion meditation is an optional technique to clear one's mind or in preparation for visualization.

If that's such a problem, meditate while standing up.

Ouch. I take that back! 10 people have voted for that now. Let me just ask those 10 people: Why do you think meditation is absolutely nessisary?
