Hey, I was just wondering if anyone thought that David Blaine might actually have some form of psi abilities. I realize that it's highly unlikely seeing as how he's known as an illusionist, however, some of the things he does seem beyond what other illusionists do (like some of the street magic he does, which is amazing). Well, I was just wondering about this.

There's a thread exactly the same as this. Why didn't you see that? Unless you did, then you should have asked this in that thread, instead of making a new one.

In my opnion, I don't know, but I think he has something to do with mind over matter about him.

Yes. I accually JUST said somthing about that in the David Blain thread i started. I'm sure most of it is just illusions but some of it is just crazy. REALLY crazy, psionic crazy.

hmmm.... i dont know enough about him to actually have an opinion. yes ive seen some of his stuff, but ive also seen other people do it and i watched the episode where they spilled the magic beans. aka they showed how they do certain tricks

on the other hand.........we should be talking about mind freak. now there's a psion for you.

yeah criss angel is even more insane i think. Check out the Youtube.com videos. Theres this one where he teleports. NO WAY IN HELL TO EXPLAIN IT. They put a trashcan over him, pavment under him, and he pops up on a roof. WTF???

oh wow im gonna check that out.

ive seen the one where you does the matrix move on one foot. (you know, bend down until your upper body is parallel to the ground?) and this other one where he hung on hook off a helicopter flying. that was pretty wicked

visit it and download the book - if you read all of the tricks you'll see some nice things about David Blain - almost all his tricks.

What? are you saying that any form of Illusionist loses their ability to do psi?

All we know some of his tricks has a bit of psi in it.

Most of his tricks are illusions, but there are somethings I don't really know.

This topic comes up a lot. Believe it or not, magicians do things that you can't figure out. They DESIGN their tricks so you can't figure them out! So don't use the fact that, "Gee, I can't figure out this trick" to mean "it must be real!!!".

You are being fooled. That is the POINT of magic. To fool you.

Both David Blaine and Criss Angel are wonderful performers and entertainers. They are magicians. All of the tricks you see on TV actually do have an explaination that doesn't involve psionics. Even though you can't figure out what that explaination is, doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.

I still wonder how criss angel could have teleported from a trash can to a higher ground... it's quite mind boggling on how it could even be magic, or an illusion.

I wanna know how David bent those prison bars, that was crazy.

I wanna learn their tricks badly but, say i get good at PK and i come out of the "psi closet" everyone would jsut think "he's a magicain"

Yes, how did David Blaine bend those prison bars (not that I think he might have done it with psionics...). Still though, David Blaine might be ripped, but there are probably stronger guys in that prison than him. Not only that, but some of the people in that prison have been there for over 35 years and never saw the prison bars bend before...
