http://ebaumsworld.com/2006/08/poltergeist.html

Apparently, the Submitter of this here Video, says that its genuine footage of a poltergeist, i however disagree.

1. The lights turning turning bright and dull can be caused by someone turning the dial on one of those voltage reducer things (i have one, iknow what im talking about Laughing ).

2. The Picture swinging off the wall could be created by pulling on Invisible Thread, or regular cotton thread for that matter.

3. The cup levitating could also easily be created by using Invisible Thread, just a loop of it around the cup, over a beam and down into someones hand behind the camera man.

4. Its amazing how the camera dude seems to know whats going to move next, and gets there before its starts moving. Almost like it was planned.

5. Im bored, so i made this thread. What do you guys think?

Far from disproven, Maxus. You're only proposing theories that would disprove it.

1. Why even go to the more intricate theory of a voltage dial...why not propose some schmuck was flipping the switch on and off (who was off camera, of course).

2. Yes, but then again, so can every other poltergeist activity.

3. Maybe you hadn't noticed, but when the photographer pans up to catch the flashing lights, he exposes the area of the ceiling over the cereal bowl. You can plainly see that there is no beam overhead. Also, any invisible thread coming from overhead would come in contact with the spinning fan blades.

4. If you listen carefully when watching the video, you can easily hear the picture frame banging before the person pans to it. Same with the clanging of the spoon in the cereal bowl.

5. I think there should be more careful scrutiny of the video.

Roy,

I was merely suggesting how it could be done.

No doubt.

Interestingly enough, here's another video that's VERY similar. I guess this is the same guy

Edit: If you check out the user's other media, he/she has a ton of ghost videos. Might all be faked, could also just be a collection. Not sure, but they're certainly fun to watch.

Isn't it funny how there's always a full bowl of cereal on the table? Laughing

From what I understand, Cheerios draw a lot of poltergeist activity. I'm not sure if there is some sort of sacred geometry involved with the delicious breakfast food, but unseen forces wish to prevent us humans from consuming it.

They must be minions of Count Chocula.

Haha, or the Poltergeist likes Cheerios, but doesn';t quite have enough skill and energy to move them into the walls where Mr.Geist lives.
