Ok this is my own technique unless someone else has done this before then well, crap it's my own fault for not reading lol. Anyway this technique is probably the most fun of all if you do any sports but serious if you have to protect your friends. What you have to do is meditate for about 10 minutes to get your energy flowing then surround yourself with your energy kind of like an armor or set of clothes. A few minutes later you'll be a little more aware and maybe a little stronger and faster, but then again results may vary (friggin comercials) so have fun with this.

i do the same, instinctually now but at first i had to focus and kinda spark the energy reaction. now i do it as a reaction or when ever i just think about it. works great for becoming aware of people around me and very good at turning my body to stone or to speed me up some.
