Okay, I bet you have heard of women complaining about guys not putting the toilet seat back down. (By the way, this is mainly for guy talk) But have you ever stopped to think that if you followed that rule you would be doing double the work of what a woman would have to do? Yep, it's true. First, you would have to lift it.
Then, you would have to put it back down.
So those are 2 toilet seat interactions, right?
But the women would just have to sit and go...no toilet seat interaction!
Why should we (males) have to do all of the toilet seat interacting?!
So I personally think it should become: "The leave it in the way you last interacted it with" rule. So then the guy would lift it but not put it down and the female would put it down and not re-lift it. See? Only one action per person, not 2, not 0, but a nice even 1 for both genders. See what I mean?

Maybe it's fair, but it would be annoying if you have to put it down again, again, again. Yeah, I'm lazy. So what?

You could always keep it down and just "sit down" when you go. Thats fair and lazy. (You dont even have to stand)
