I dont realy know much detail about it but i do know that over 80% of the universe is missing. Scientist did some stuff and found out how much mass should be in the universe. It turned out that there isnt nearly as much stuff as there should be. Out there over 80% of the inviverse is being held captive and scientist call the other 80% dark matter

the only problem is is that they havnt exactly found any dark matter so this is still just a thoery and not an acual fact.
i ask everyone to look under there beds in the back parts of your closets for any dark matter Razz it would be greatly apreciated by all those hard working scientist.
THANKS

Hm. That must be what's holding things captive in the back of my closet. I swear I've nearly lost a few toes due to some strange, captivating forces in there. If they are, in fact, dark matter as opposed to mutant dust rhinocerouses, I shall gladly let you know.

Speaking of such, are you sure the scientists wouldn't want to study the evolution of dust creatures? I could certainly give up a few.

*a stifled growl emanates from the over-filled closet.*

Like that one. Razz

Yeah... you're sort of supposed to go out and check out the magazine... or sign up...

I can. Next time someone wants to post something like this they should use the general forum. That's sort of why we have it.

Actually, I read an article about scientist discovering anti-matter in the bright-line spectrum of some atom. Im going to try and find it in a bit.

Maybe Dark Matter is Anti Matter, and vice versa. It could just be the remnents of the biggest explosion that has ever been, in the history of the Universe, for those of you who are a little slow......It was the Big Bang.
I saw a Tv program about Anti-Matter the other day, they made a very, very, very tiny amount by using a particle accelerator, where two atoms smash into each other at 99% the speed of light. Maybe the Universe was formed when two particles smashed together at unimaginable speeds and created a form of Anti-Matter, which then combined with the left over material of the two particles, exploded with enough force to start off everything. But hey, thats just my 2 yen. I kinda deviated from the point. Very Happy

Matter is energy. Dark matter is also energy. When you break matter down you will at the end wind up with fundimental particles. These fundimental particles can be broken down to enegy or other fundimental particles.

Lets go for a mindblower...

PSI is also a form of energy. Most likely psi works at the quantum level, there are still parts quantum physics we dont understand. In theory you can and if you belive in psi, create matter from mind. Now. I just want to give you all an example. http://www.psipog.net/blog/2006/06/reproducible-results.html This is acualy proof that it can be done. Because the geiger counter reacts to radioactive particles.

When we know we can produce radioactive particles, what is our limitations? We might be able to create basic atoms, like a hydrogen atom etc. But keep in mind. To create a atom out of the blue would require enormous amounts of pure energy.

Just a tought...

I'm subscribed to Discovery and actually read that article. It was interesting... but I'm not going to lie. It was WAY over my head. The shit scientists do and theorize about galaxies billions of light years away is mind blowing.
