s90022 asks on September 11, 2005, 5:57am:

For OBE's just how do you start that initial phase, i.e getting into the trance state, i just can't seem to get it!

Peebrain replies on September 15, 2005, 12:41pm:

Don't skip steps! It's hard to go from waking state directly into a trance state. Instead, do each step outlined in my article, STEP by STEP! art-outline-to-shielding.html168

Each step leads into the next one.

pretzels_R_tasty asks on September 11, 2005, 7:47pm:

Hello, I was just trying to go out of body, I have never actually done this, and when I tried to induce the infamous "vibrations" my bodie started shaking, almost like miniature convulsions; also, my left leg tensed up, and my head was shaking more than the rest of me. My question is this: Am I doing something wrong such as trying to create the vibrations, starting too early, etcetera. Or is this normal and will stop once I am more relaxed trying this?
Thanks much, and good luck for everyone affected by Katrina.

Peebrain replies on September 15, 2005, 12:39pm:

Don't worry about creating the vibrations. Vibrations only happen SOMETIMES, and some people NEVER feel them. Worry about the primary goal: leaving your body. The vibrations aren't physical vibrations either - your physical body parts aren't vibrating (although it FEELS like they are when/if the vibrations happen). Short story shorter: vibrations happen sometimes, and are more of a neat little side effect. Don't get hung up if you aren't feeling them. But don't be surprised if you do feel them.

Capricorn324 asks on August 24, 2005, 11:03pm:

I was reading the Q&A, and I came upon one that said something about "lentation"... So I looked up 'lentation' in the articles, and Q&A... and it didn't really tell how to do lentation. I also looked up 'time distortion' in the Q&A and articles, but there were 37 pages of results... so yeah... I was wondering: is there an article that explains how to do lentation?

Thanks in advance if you answer,
Capricorn324

SunTzu replies on August 26, 2005, 9:13am:

No, not here. The are many conflicting beleifs about what the true nature of lentation is. (ex) is it biofeedbacking your adrenaline to surge (indicating that continueing practice harms you) or is it a psychokinetic slow down of time (dubious), or does it depend on our time perception? At any rate, because no one is truely sure on what it's nature is (or indeed, how to do it), there is no article on lentation on psipog.

However, I know that there are several books about it. Try searching ebay for "controlling the moment" "being the in moment" "slowing time" and such, occasionally in joint with remote viewing.

Peebrain replies on September 4, 2005, 2:10pm:

'Lentation' is a term that was invented to label time distortion. I think 'time distortion' is a good enough label (and so does pretty much everyone else), so you might find more information on google using that term. Meditation and hypnosis accomplish this.

Capricorn324 asks on August 16, 2005, 1:04am:

Ok. I was reading someone's article about Phasing. I think it was Rainsong's. Anyway, my question is: Is it possible to get stuck while Phasing? Like, if you phased through a chair, could you get stuck with the chair IN you? Or how would that work?

I wasn't planning on trying it... Seeing how horribly you described it... but I was just curious to know if you could get stuck.

Thanks in advance if you answer Smile

Rainsong replies on August 16, 2005, 4:06pm:

Yes, you can indeed get stuck.

psiwierdo asks on August 6, 2005, 9:39pm:

My question is on dreamwalking. During dreamwalking, are you supposed to feel any strange things like vibrations (I haven't tried it yet, I just want to know before I do anything).

Rainsong replies on August 9, 2005, 5:42pm:

"Supposed to"? No idea. However, I've never experienced the infamous "vibrations" when dreamwalking...nor in out-of-body travel either. Ther aren't any obvious feelings of any sort that I've noticed connected to dreamwalking itself.

Hi,
Funny you should ask. I've had so many people ask about this that I've been working on a book about my inner voice and how to develop it.
I'm still writing, though, and the publication process takes two years (at least for my pokey publisher) so don't hold your breath.

psimitch asks on July 22, 2005, 12:44pm:

im in a weelchair so whould that lessen my chances of haveing an out of body experiance

Rainsong replies on July 22, 2005, 9:59pm:

Judging from the reported experiences of other folks in wheelchairs, being in a wheelchair does not appear to make a difference to out-of-body experiences.

sonic asks on July 20, 2005, 1:34am:

hey guys my Question for today is when your having an obe do you see other people having obe or other souls

Rainsong replies on July 20, 2005, 12:37pm:

Other people? Sometimes, yes. In fact, the other people you see and can interact with to some degree don't need to be out of body themselves.

UberDarkTenks asks on April 10, 2005, 2:23pm:

The "sub-consious communicating" seems a lot harder than just pendling.

I was wondering if I could use pendling to cheat on a test and would it be as accurate as using the other method?

Rainsong replies on April 11, 2005, 11:57am:

1) This is true. Pendling is used to simplify communication with the subconscious.
2) It is no more or less accurate than any other method; it is merely easier to interpret.

Peebrain replies on July 17, 2005, 12:38pm:

I find direct communication to be easier. Although I did experience pendling before I started communicating directly... but I wanted more concrete answers. Perhaps I should say I find direct communication more accurate. It probably depends on the wiring of your brain Smile.
