Rainsong replies on January 19, 2004, 7:33pm:

This appears to be the case, if you are training in a constructive manner. (some folks do not)

DarklordDJ101 asks on January 18, 2004, 4:25pm:

I have a problem and I believe the source is songs stuck in my head I cannot make a psiwheel move (or focus energy) but I have when I have not had a song stuck in my head so any suggestions on getting songs out of your head?

Rainsong replies on January 18, 2004, 8:57pm:

For getting songs out of your head, try singing them aloud. That works for some of us, to stop the endless repetitions of annoying songs.

Harley asks on January 18, 2004, 7:34pm:

Hey,
I know this is probably a question that has already been asked on this site, but at the moment I'm slightly strapped for time (My parents are finally out, and I'm not quite sure when they'll be back)... I havent been able to do psyonics for a while, but everything seems to be coming back right now.. (I'm still new at this and things are cutting in and out so to speak...) I was wondering if it were possible to effect the timing on street lights. If I'm stressed or emotionally charged, I've been able to change a red light to green and vice versa (sometimes skipping yellow almost entirely).. its dangerous, and I know it- is there some way to controll it?... *opened a door at the mall today using it... my friend thought it was an automatic door... none of them are... it kinda freaked me out..*... this is normal... right..?
~The ever confused Harley

Rainsong replies on January 18, 2004, 8:53pm:

To gain control of that aspect of psychokinesis, as with most, the usual answer is to "practice". Practice affecting less-dangerous devices, though, such as the lamp in your bed-room, rather than street-lights.

cj543 asks on January 18, 2004, 2:40pm:

How many types of telekinesis are there?
Thanks in advance

Rainsong replies on January 18, 2004, 6:22pm:

Two. Micro and macro.

Telekinesis and Psychokinesis are the same thing. Both words mean "the movement or alteration of a physical substance by or with the mind, and not using any of the conventionally-recognised means of accomplishing same." They are often abbreviated as "tk" and "pk" respectively.

MicroPK involves messing around with probabilities. If you need statistical analysis of a large number of experimental trials to establish that the effect is not due to chance, the kind of pk you're doing is "micro".

MacroPK are the kinds of things more often associated with the word "telekinesis" in this kind of forum: spinning the psiwheel, levitating objects, heating water, lighting fires, and so on. If it can be demonstrated relatively conclusively on one trial, it is "macro", regardless of the size of the effect.

Faithkinesis asks on January 17, 2004, 6:00pm:

Does telekinesis on the hands feel as a pressure slowly greatening or more of a instant magnetic force? Ni believes we are able, but I think Ni is confused by that fact that he started off with psi tk and possibly now has found his way over to some higher magnetic energy that is more powerful and instant...

Rainsong replies on January 17, 2004, 7:36pm:

Short version: whether he "has found his way over to some higher magnetic energy" or not, the effect is still psychokinesis (or "telekinesis", if you prefer....same thing). And, more to the point, if he can do psychokinesis with it, then it is "psi" by definition.

stevetb2001 asks on January 13, 2004, 3:41pm:

In many sites about telekinesis, I found some claims, that if you show the ability to others, you will lose it FOREVER!
Do you think this is true?

Rainsong replies on January 13, 2004, 8:16pm:

It's utter nonsense. Yet another variation of the new-age cattle-droppings which derive from half-understood Theosophical writings. The early books of Theosophy forbade demonstrating any verifiable psychic abilities. "Forbade", not "claimed it was impossible".

Telekinesis has been demonstrated without the loss of the ability by the one who demonstrated. I myself have done so...and I am certainly not the only one.

Peebrain replies on January 16, 2004, 12:58pm:

I have demonstrated as well... Actually I found that it was easier with a group of people watching, waiting for it to happen. Perhaps their excitement/want aided me in some way? Might want to look up information on PK Parties too... there's another obvious example of people doing things in groups, and no one losing an ability...

Xiatrix asks on January 12, 2004, 10:28am:

Is it normal for random parts of my body (EG, Arms or legs) to twitch and move a little while I am trying to do my TK?

Rainsong replies on January 14, 2004, 7:40pm:

Normal? Yes. Safe? No. Look up the basic symptoms of hypoglycemia.

gabriel asks on January 14, 2004, 5:33am:

do you need to be able to manipulate psi to be able to do telekinesis?

Rainsong replies on January 14, 2004, 7:26pm:

If you mean "Do you need to be able to make constructs, and do similar things with psi, in order to be able to do telekinesis?", then the answer is "No". If you mean "Can telekinesis be done without psi?", then the answer is even more emphatically "No", "psi" being a term that designates whatever mechanism or mechanisms allow such things as telekinesis to work....

walnutgum asks on January 10, 2004, 6:49pm:

1is it neccessery to "become one" with the object?
2when you do, does moving your closest finger to the object, will it move?
3if so is it like a magnetic field?

Rainsong replies on January 14, 2004, 1:41am:

1) No.
2) If your finger comes close enough to touch the object, and the object is small enough and movable, chances are that it will move.
3) There are some apparent similarities between electromagnatism and psi, but they are most emphatically not the same thing, if the Soviet experiments of the 20th century are any indication.

Cryo_Spire_0807 asks on January 11, 2004, 10:55am:

First off, your site is really a great site for this information. Hope it stays up for a loooong time:) I hope im not being neive asking this, but how long, roughly, would you say that one would need to practice a day to get a good advance in CryoKinesis? ALso, would meditation be needed, and if so, this calms down the mind, right? but ones mind would get streessed again later through the day, so would meditation help? Thanks

Rainsong replies on January 14, 2004, 1:05am:

1) The time it takes varies with the individual. Some people can get it to work in a matter of minutes, on their first day. Some take _years_ of practice, half an hour a day, six or seven days a week....and some never get it to work.

2) Meditation can be helpful, and can also be quite pleasant. It is not required, however.
