Questions

stevetb2001 asks on December 13, 2003, 2:59pm:

Has telekinesis to do with Poltergeist?

Rainsong replies on December 14, 2003, 6:09pm:

When a person produces telekinetic effects which they are not controlling, by accident or on account of "stress" or during convulsions, this causes a variety of "poltergeist" phenomenon. Overloaded telepaths and teenagers with -ehem- "hormonal problems" are the usual culprits. "Poltergeist" comes from the German term for "noisy ghost", and the experience was once attributed to --yes, you guessed it-- ghosts. Whether _all_ poltergeists are attributable to out-of-control pk is still open to question.

MegaMarine asks on December 13, 2003, 3:40pm:

I am stuck on the psi wheel, what should I come off it onto, (eg a pencil)?

Rainsong replies on December 14, 2003, 6:01pm:

Could have sworn I'd already answered one like this in the past couple days. Same question shows up a lot.

If you want to move something other that a psiwheel, pick a small object at random and move it: pencils, ping-pong-balls, cat-toys, hamster-wheels, paper airplanes.....

SabrielDragonsong asks on December 13, 2003, 11:06pm:

Would playing an instrument, such as the piano, help with becoming more focused? I was just wondering, since I play the piano, and that I just realized that playing a song makes me go into a very relaxed state where I think of nothing but the notes.

Rainsong replies on December 14, 2003, 5:57pm:

Yes. Technical exercises are _great_ for focus. In addition to this, your "favourite" pieces to play are good for something like grounding, several kinds of music will help induce trance (some kinds of Baroque instrumental music is known for this, as well as some kinds of "Techno"...and of course the various trance genres), and you can set moods artificially with music which can be useful in learning telepathic sending, especially the empathic side of it.

shursey asks on November 29, 2003, 12:38pm:

I have recently started experimenting with lucid dreams. Although I haven't been able to induce one yet, I have read that they are good for practicing things like sports. I want to know if they would be good for practicing TK or other psionic talents.

Not_Important replies on November 30, 2003, 10:50am:

I don't think so. In LD's basically everything you can imagine can come true. That's a bit different in the "real" world Smile

Peebrain replies on December 12, 2003, 5:08am:

I have personally tried:

1. Practicing TK while in a dream, lucid and non-lucid. This doesn't seem to help, maybe it only helps a small amount and I can't tell though. I am a lot better at controlling what goes on in my dreams though Smile.

2. Asking for guidance from a "dream-character" concerning how to do TK while lucid. "He" gave me a meditation exercise... I don't know if it would work or not, because I never tried the exercise Smile. That was a while back, I forget what the exercise was...

PsycoKid asks on December 9, 2003, 9:08pm:

Any good sites to learn EK? (electrokinesis)
wanted to learn LOTS about it. Thank you

Rainsong replies on December 10, 2003, 8:34pm:

This question shows up a lot. The only answer I can give is that I have never yet seen a good (or even moderately decent) site about "electrokinesis" per se.

However, you might be interested in the more technical sites about the use of microPK to mess around with computer systems and/or random number generators. PEAR Inc is a good place to start.

There is the link to PEAR Inc that Rainsong is referring to.

HyperNova asks on December 9, 2003, 3:53pm:

Hello,
My Name is Eddy and i have a question about this Kinesis stuff.I wonderd what exactly to do to enter the part of the brain where this power is hidden.
How do i enter it? and how do you focus on moving objects ?
I really would spend ALL of my free time to learn it but...i'm afraid that this is all just nonsense and i feer that i'l be waisting my time.
So are you also sure that this is 100% and are you also 100% sure that i have this power ?

Thanks you so much,HyperNova !

Peebrain replies on December 12, 2003, 4:17am:

How do you enter that part of the brain? ...Huh?

If you want to learn TK, then practice. It's that simple. Can I give you a 100% guarantee that you'll learn it? No... But I can give you a 100% guarantee that you WON'T learn it if you don't try Smile. Give it a try, if you can't get it to work after a few months, then give up if you still want to. Or you can try learning other simplier things to help build your confidence. Psi-balls are popular.

bloodriver asks on December 10, 2003, 1:35pm:

I have been spinning the psiwheel for about 4 months now and I can spin it really well, should I move onto something else like a tooth pick or something?

Thanks everyone

Rainsong replies on December 10, 2003, 8:14pm:

That depends; do you want to move other objects, or are you happy playing with the psiwheel? If you want to move other objects, move other objects.

skello asks on December 10, 2003, 1:46am:

with telekenisis do you have to practice with every object that u want to move or can u just move it if u have eneough skill

Rainsong replies on December 10, 2003, 8:13pm:

Once you have learned to grasp and move objects with your hands, do you need to learn how to move each individual new object?

Cryo_Spire_0807 asks on December 9, 2003, 6:12pm:

I started Cryokinesis 2 days ago. Anyway, I have 2 questions:

1)Is it true that in order to sucessfully perform cryokinesis I must first hold ice in my hands and take colder showers for 2 months to accustom my body to hostile temperatures?
2)I can already make a very good ice-ball and can also cool down many objects and rooms from 5 - 10 degrees, but i wanted to know why I cant seem to cool down a bowl of water. Also, any tips for practicing?

Rainsong replies on December 9, 2003, 10:08pm:

1) No, it is not true.
2) If you can make an ice-ball, you can cool down a bowl of water. Same method.

Eeg710 asks on December 9, 2003, 6:06pm:

Hi. I think that the question falls into this category, but I am not sure. Is there any way to infuse a shield or construct with telekinetic "power" to make it physically tangible?
Thanks

Rainsong replies on December 9, 2003, 10:06pm:

Yes. Check out the article on "Force Bubbles"

Since this has been posted, there was a further question about Force Bubbles. The question concerned the amount of PK skill needed to make a force bubble. If you can consistently spin a psiwheel when you want to, stop it when you want to, and reverse its direction when you want to, then you probably have enough control of your pk to make a decent smallish bubble.
