Fushichou asks on February 3, 2004, 7:11am:
Can breathing (exhaling/inhaling) affect psi, abilities and psi intensity?
cause i think its affecting my psiballs (IF i'm making them, that is)
so is this possible? and is it possible to control it? (i've tried but without success, so i'm starting to wonder wether its just blood pressure etc. and not psi)
Rainsong replies on February 3, 2004, 7:17pm:
Yes, breathing affects psi abilities. If you have ceased to breathe, psionics becomes both "much more difficult" and "a moot point".
Stephenbe asks on February 1, 2004, 9:11am:
Hey, Im New to all this, i think im gonna start with psi balls. But, what do you mean by flare them and i cant seem to make them either
Thanks
Peebrain replies on February 2, 2004, 12:58pm:
If you're just starting out, don't expect to flare them right away. Make sure you read through the Psi Ball articles concerning this - they answer a lot of beginner questions like this one.
OmniInuyasha asks on February 1, 2004, 8:14pm:
I posted a Q&A topic a couple weeks ago, so if you already answered these questions, just ignore this, and sorry if it's annoying.
Anyway, I have a few questions, mostly relating to Manipulation and a couple on sensitivity.
1) What do you think I should work on after being able to make psiballs for a couple months? I can make constructs and such, but what should I move on to?
2) The purpose of a shield (for the most part, i.e., not combat) is to block empathetic and/or telepathic signals from others, right? So, does this mean when you become sensitive to other's thoughts, (you can pick up a sig, and can send and recieve) that you can "hear" other people's thoughts, even if you don't want to? The reason I ask is I would like to become more sensitive to these, to improve my sending and recieving, so should I practice shields, too?
3) This is kind of related to the above question, but from the articles I've read, are non-sensitive people unable to feel pings, and can you still link and send to them, or scan them? Because I don't know any psions around me...
4) I know there was another question on this, but have you figured out this PsiPog Chat Client error?:

Peebrain replies on February 2, 2004, 12:57pm:
1) Shields are cool. Might want to try some practice with your friends - try sending a certain type of construct to each other, and see if the person can feel how you programmed it. There are all sorts of cool games. Or move onto telepathy games, or TK. Whatever you're interested in.
2) If you want to "hear" stuff, you better practice shields. Shields are your way of controlling how much you "hear". Chances are, if you're just starting out, it won't be a big problem. In the future, and you're sitting in the middle of a crowded movie theater, and all of the sudden you start to "hear" everyone, things can get real rough, real quick. Learn to shield early.
3) Not really. If it has a LOT of oomph, you might be able to get a normal person to feel it... probably because it could cause them a headache, not because they felt the actual ping though. If you want to meet people who are into psionics, I suggest just mentioning it to your existing friends, and maybe one or two of them would be interested in it. Or you can practice online in the chat room.
4) As the error message says, if you keep receiving that error, e-mail peebrain@psipog.net. Just do what it tells you to do, and it'll work out .

m0rph asks on January 31, 2004, 8:11am:
This is probably a stupid question, but can psi-balls be seen with your own eyes or are they just to be "felt", like they were some sort of invisible balls?
Yumper replies on January 31, 2004, 4:26pm:
When you 'flare' a construct, it can be seen with the naked eye.
Koenma asks on January 27, 2004, 11:00am:
I probly should have looked around to see if this was already asked ,but is it possible to see psi balls or things of that such also if it is possible to see them is there a way to alter the shape, form, and color such as turning a psi ball into a sword or bat shaped item.
Rainsong replies on January 31, 2004, 2:08am:
It is possible to "see" them, in such a way that you seem to see them with your eyes, but it is illusory. It is also possible to flare them, and make them visible to ordinary sight.
As for changing the shape, sure, of course. They would no longer be psiballs, however. Psiballs are round.

ashkoven asks on January 29, 2004, 1:32pm:
My little brother is highly empathic but too young to train (he's 3) is there any way to shield him myself?
Rainsong replies on January 31, 2004, 1:57am:
Shielding someone else is a natural extension of Shielding skills. If your skill is sufficient, then yes, you can Shield him.
The questions, here, would be:
1) Why do you think that three-years-old is too young? and
2) Is his empathic ability causing him trouble in such a way that he wants or needs you to Shield him?
aamir71 asks on January 29, 2004, 7:16pm:
How long a shield would remain active when we create it. And when it should be required to creat new one. Means Should it is necessary to creat shields dail or for week.
thanks
aamir
Rainsong replies on January 30, 2004, 12:40am:
They _can_ remain active for months, or even years. However, it is quite common for newbie's Shields to dissolve in a day or less.
Wen637 asks on January 28, 2004, 1:26am:
Can a shield be formed to protect from physical attacks, such as flying projectiles? Or can a shield be created to alert the caster when one is entering it, and possibly program a message into the shield to attempt to deter the person who is entering? Thanks.
Rainsong replies on January 28, 2004, 7:19pm:
Yes, to both questions. The first is a force-bubble. It requires skill in psychokinesis.
psimaster12 asks on January 24, 2004, 1:59pm:
I've heard you can make a psi pet. I was wondering how you can make them.
Yumper replies on January 27, 2004, 10:20am:
A 'psipet' is an accumulation of psi programmed to resemble a living organism. To create one gather psi and program it to mirror the shape of an animal you had in mind. For example if you were to create a cat, you might program it to have four legs, a tail and a head. You can also program the
construct to feel like the animal in mind. A snake would be scaley, a giraffe would be fuzzy. Lastly you can program the construct to mimic the animal's behaivour or movement. The construct could be programmed to slither, climb or just walk.
A reminder that the 'psipet' is not a real pet. It does not have emotions or feelings or needs. So do not neglect your real pets!

Yes. It is just a matter of programming.
